I’m homosexual and have been long before it was fashionable to be gay. What irks me to no end can be boiled down to two related concepts:

-that the Democratic Party is somehow my savior as a gay man and

-that suddenly, now that it’s de rigeur to be a member of the community that there has suddenly become a mass proliferation of wannabes and in every size, shape and form.

No longer is it just the basic gay, lesbian, bisexual and intersex (with a few genuine transsexuals) people. Now we have the neurodiverse, the asexual, the pansexual, the queer (just socially? I really think this term is just a catch-all), the polyamorous, etc. Suddenly everyone is LGBTQIANPP+.

For those of us who have lived for years when it wasn’t popular to be other than heterosexual these trendy fair weather friends today are making the entire community pariahs again if not laughable. The terms gay and homosexual have become diluted to the point where they are being treated as political words and not representative of actual people.

The Democrats, in their sanctimonious and censorious approach to any issue in vogue for voting purposes, have somehow taken it upon themselves to speak for me which might be fine if they didn’t force my existence down the throats of everyone.

Very true. If some group wants to put words in my mouth they better be very careful their hand doesn’t get bitten.
