Everything I had is gone. The motel owner told the manager to throw all my “things” away in a garbage can on the same day as I did not show up to pay the rent. This owner fellow is absolutely absurd. The manager, a nice, but submissive sort of guy, said “why not give him one day?” Owner said to throw it all out. I lost a letter I was writing, other written matters, all my financial records, my nice scissors I like, my collection of four lighters (mostly used for tiny pot roaches I find!) my toothbrush, several books including possible rare or out of print books like that dual bio of Frida Khalo and Diego Garcia, a great book about the history of the Metropolitan Museum of Art… okay you get the idea. I lost all my clothes. I lost my new penny collection of old pennies that are now worth a lot more money. My knife and two forks, the cute little one and the big heavy one. My spoon.
The bowl I liked, by I think Pyrex. I ate all my food from that bowl.
So I came back to a nearly empty apartment motel room, one day after rent needed to be paid. I paid a day late. To start acquiring necessary things, I start from only having a storage locker. All my other possessions gone. I can’t even light a fucking roach (which is illegal, b.t.w.)
Shortly after I arrived at my new jail home, I was suddenly attacked by a violent type of inmate. I do not know the person. Then, at the medical check, the nurse started asking the sorts of questions that are so they can check to see if I am crazy. This nurse-type of individual asked “do you know what year it is?” So I did not answer so they put me in handcuffs. This was, apparently unacceptable insolence.
The first cell was hell. But, the second place they put me was a lot better. There was more socializing, all the guys ended up liking me, and I got bailed out after three or four days.

Have you ever paid rent a day late before to this owner?
If not then it’s an impulsive decision based on his experience with other homeless people.
But not everyone is the same. I would’ve agreed with the manager and let you pay on the second day.
