The economy can no longer be reasonably expected to generate the kind of growth necessary to support this delusion. An economy cannot ever be based on merely the delusions we decide to believe. If we deceive ourselves by putting in better numbers that is deception as much as any other self-deception.
The delusion has gotten ahead of the economy and the economy is dependent on maintaining the delusion. This is not going to end well.
See, you´ve just inspired me to do some "... so much for the happy ending..." future post, one day. But sure, I know what you´re talking about, I see the reality and the delusion the same way.
Exactly. The Federal Reserve mismanages the economy regularly on the backs of the workers. According to Janet Yellin the economy needs, not just desires, some unemployment to stabilize inflation without giving a thought to corporate America’s role in inflation.
Soft landing? I’ll believe it when I see it. And BTW who will experience this plush tushy cushioned fall?
