Karl Kautsky translated some of the remaining part of 'Kapital' by Carlos Marx, timed close enough to Carlos Marx's life to practically smell him. Here is the belief that one text is the answer. This is really stretching it, though. As I, myself, am obviously some kind of a genius; and, I couldn't even understand vol. 1. That book is dense, very difficult. I have not seen anybody who understands it, but then there is Kautsky and he is translating the obscure vol. 4! Well. Since no way do I believe that, it must be that "Das Kapital" is not the correct view of history. And I'm not just blindly believing that, either, because Kautsky is the example of blind belief. Such blind belief in a set of ideas is termed ideology.
Ideology is a big slippery subject. It is kind of obscure. But in any case we certainly keep falling into the same patterns, shoving ideas down one another's throat. People will die for a text they don't understand (any form of the Bible, for example). Well: you have to die for something I guess... So, it might as well be Daspuking Kapitalianism or whatever.
It makes as much sense as what those two guys in Starbucks are discussing in their overly-loud business meeting, wisely held in a Starbucks so we may hear them (or smell them) making money. It's a different place and the wrong time, Dr. John. There is no correct view of history. I only understand that “lots of weird things happened.”
Well Dr. John may have been in the right place at the wrong time, but next time Margaret Thatcher says "there is no alternative" remember that this means she is a Hegelian Marxist even though her Iron Lady hair style is reminiscent of Geo. Washington's or George III's.
How is Prince Harry these days.

Ideology: repeating an idea without understanding the content of it.
This was really pretty funny, Jacob. I have seen the characters you are describing. Some of them are on YouTube pontificating. I have been guilty myself. I once was addressing a (for me) large group of people (maybe 50) and it came to me that just as others acquire MD, PhD, DC, etc., I was born with FKIA after my name. Stands for F***ing Know It All. We are everywhere, holding forth within the earshot of the innocent, such as yourself. Protect yourself at all costs. Peace.
