Despite their efforts the large societies are not usually transformed into good, high-minded societies. I mean, lots of these societies want to be virtuous. They say they do. They have codes of law. They may threaten to cut off the head of anyone who does bad. This, however, does not directly result in good, high-minded societies.
If big does not make better, that means it is not a high level society. The society is still there, but it exists on a tattered, shattered level. In that case, it exists on a low level. It may continue to exist, with problems and sufferings for the vast majority of them.
People live mostly in huge, organized societies. It seems better. Shoppers could get choices; there would be numerous places to get a beer. However, it is not getting better in real life. It is getting worse, and so is my beer. Recent experience with a formerly trusted brand indicates so. But let us proceed. I would, if these societies were truly becoming virtuous, good ones, be willing to forgo most of my pleasures! I would. But, instead, we see a trend that is towards “transhumanism.” They do not even believe in being human anymore—much less good ones.
Politically, the pressure is on. The books we are asked to read, and the ideas we are forced to hear, it all implies the same old message: that these really, really BIG societies can also be better societies, except of course in the case of Russia. The US/AMerican political pressure I feel is always put in various cliche’ terms to sound impressive, but I just call it goodness, which is more direct. I think so, anyway. There is a certain pressure on us to believe one centrally-generated story that big societies (after the French Revolution, the story runs) really do turn towards equality and goodness. This is a story also of democracy, rights, etc. But do they? Is it true? Do societies really do that? Since the French or American revolutions, are big organized societies up to something good? yeah—except, Um—Russia, or China maybe. India…? But still we hear of this goodness of the big democracy.
Well, Tex, I ain’t here to argue with ya. Maybe be so, but it is pretty obscure what the good might be that has been spread around so nicely in the space between WWI, WWII, Vietnam, and COVID, just to supply a few highlights.
More likely, the purpose is to get the worst possible situation because, in these situation only the chosen ones get any benefit. They amount to only a small fraction, not the whole huge society itself. These are the rulers, the ruling class, or the aristocracy. Societies have been organized this way for 20,000 years. For the ordinary, average person not much comes of this deal—this contract with a social devil! They live and die with very little comfort, luv!
So, this was generally the way it worked. Hominins have done this for many thousands of years. Has it changed? Perhaps—there were some recent changes in the past one hundred years—but only to a degree. As recently as the early 20th century, most of the humyn persons was bein’ poor in many cases. Like, in the various counties of the world—? …and in huge societies. And then it got better, around 1920. And now, with the vaccines, and the WHO, which is a death institution, there are once more attempts underway to make us miserable, to reduce the population to poverty, death, and misery. So, this little spot of relief is not much of a lifeboat to cling to when the Titanic (huge) goes down. That is what happens — in a huge, organized society. It seems almost like maybe some law of nature . . .
And why do I say such unpopular things—? There is just something about me. So, that — I enjoy telling the truth; and so, I wrote this down :—: don’t bother to thank me.
I think I’ll add a photo; that seems to make more readers come.
