Investigative Report and Speculation: Oct 07

We also have Chris Hedges, another left-oriented person who could not pivot and thus he is clearly going mad: "This global cabal, dedicated to permanent war and keeping its populations monitored and controlled, has hundreds of billions of dollars a year in sales." Great, but does this “cabal” somehow control the Israeli people? And where doe he say anything similar about the United States? What if you say that, since my dad was a retail store owner, that must be all my life amounts to. Am I defined by what my dad did for a living? Retail? I live in retail sales land, right? Well, that is my bloodline or lineage. Maybe some country (doesn't matter which) is making arms sales. Does this mean I am to be defined as "a person who lives in a country that has huge arms sales." Hell, no. I am innocent of all that. Humans just live in different countries, and I am just one little human living in the U. S. The U. S. makes weapons, but I am a resident, not the operator of the cabal. I am no more an arms dealer than a mink trader, coat seller, or a ales rep for a tire company. No, but my ancestors were Jewish person who had nowhere to go, and so to golden America they flee—or to Israel. Many came came to Israel. Maybe the government sells a lot of arms. Maybe some Israelis-to-be terrorized those living in the areas they wanted to move into. The evidence indicates that this did happen: apparently something like that happened but that does not make Israelis deserving of invaders, 75 years later, gunning down any Israeli they see. You cannot just follow one thing with the other like it makes sense. The truth is a lot more complicated. Shouldn’t we assume that calling myself "an American citizen" is different from calling myself "slaughterer of the red man." Many American Indians would be willing to cut me a break. The two are not equivalent. Somehow Chris Hedges has ended up with his head in the wrong place. I cannot figure out what happened to him. It is quite remarkable that this happened, because at one time he was one of the very best. He stood for sanity, not hysteria. This problem comes from the brutality of Hamas very directly. It comes from the aggression of Jews coming into Palestine, too, but more indirectly. Hamas are a political movement. You cannot every trust any of them. But I though Hedges was one of the best voices of sanity and that we were lucky he existed. Ah, but what happened is that — and yes, this is what t I am thinking — is he existed in “print” form, so it was his fame that destroyed him. He was ruined by notoriety—his unwitting accession to fame. That is the problem. People have a separate existence in print. So, when you “exist” in newsprint, everything you say is followed (by only a small crowd in Hedges' case but very loyal and he always had them; and they was listening). You end up feeling obligated to your followers and your flock and your paying customers: it’s a bad syndrome. He was popular. His views were read by so many people. Then you became dependent on them. A symbiotic relationship? The result is a tendency to lose one's judgement. Without his thousands of devoted followers, Chris Hedges would feel like he is nothing—it is a life in print.
Now let us turn to a newspaper that is new to me. It looks mediocre to me, from what I see on-line. So. What does the mediocre newspaper "Times of Israel" have to say?
Looking ahead, shifting global priorities and partnerships such as the Abraham Accords create high demand for Israel’s cutting-edge technological systems,” Kulas said.
Missiles, rockets, and air-defense systems made up the largest chunk of exports at 20%, followed by training services at 15%. Exports of unmanned aerial vehicles and drones amounted to 9% of all arms sales, as did radar and electronic warfare systems.
But wait. Considering that they are selling arms all over the world, why could they not stop a small Hamas invasion force—? ~ people who came over the fence? Israel knew these people, for years. One killer knows the other. Hamas were killers. They were a few miles away, separated by a fence. I am thinking there must be something amiss here. The article first says Israel is sending its weapons all over the world (the article above indicates Europe as the major purchaser). But why not use the weapons at home in Israel? This I truly cannot imagine. Why not use your weapons at home? That is where you would want to use your weapons, where the "terrorists" or Arabists or whatever they are came over on motorcycles and -- Um, paragliders. I don't know exactly what paragliders are but, you know they are not protected by armor — but they used that successfully. Something is very wrong here. I imagine a person strapped into a device with wings that has just enough Ooomph to pop over the border fence. Doesn’t the Israel air force have weapons? They could not stop that? No way could the Israeli air force stop paragliders, man. I mean, get serious. No match for "paragliders"?
" 'Demand for Israeli defense products has risen in the past year, manifesting in the sharp increase in transactions between countries, among other things,' Kulas added." So use your own products at home, next time dummies.
I am having a little trouble understanding what are "other things" that are. Maybe keeping the items in your own country, and protecting your people? Since you have vicious terrorists three miles away. Something doesn’t add up for me. Why not use your capabilities to repel attackers? Or did the current Israeli government let it happen? Because — I don’t know. They crave action??? I think my people, in the land of Israel, have lost their humanity. Not all of them, but some — okay? The “leaders.”
Am I saying something I am not supposed to? Will my Subtack account be closed now? Of course, that is possible. I am guilty of thinking. And in a totalitarian state, that is the worst of crimes. The U. S. is getting there. But getting back to Israel:
Israel sells arms to countries all over the world, which indicates that they know about arms. They have done so well at using them, to Um — defend themselves. So, okay. If that is why they had all those arms I am just asking: why didn't they use them when Hamas came? Hamas was running wild for hours.
The Israelis are known to sacrifice their own people. (Story about "King David Hotel." "Begin claimed in his memoirs that the British had deliberately not evacuated... thereby creating a possible opportunity" Hmmmm.... Did the Israelis also “deliberately not evacuate”? Similar, right?)
Some persons' views are more propagandistical. I was initially surprised that it could happen to Hedges, but... oh well. Maybe it was the power of paragliders.

Hi Jacob... "but he is never going to say that about the United States...". Chris Hedges has written several books about the "cabals" of America, the christian right wing of America etc. One of his best books is American Fascists. For us Non Americans Chris Hedges is a true American hero.
