~ In my Work as a Substack Writer I Try to Make Sense out of the World ~ I do try
fragile states of the globe
The whole world is run by lunatics. The leaders are not the right people. Somehow, I don’t think Joe Biden is actually the one running the world but rather it is the so-called “economy,” but it is not an economy anymore in the sense of being “economical.” Or well-distributed, or low cost. Did I say low-cost?
It is very high cost. The world’s leaders do not go shopping at Wal-Mart. They don’t go shopping at any store you or I would go to. (This article was not composed for the benefit of the rich — quite the opposite, in fact.)
But I know you rich people are out there. I do not know you personally. But certainly, you are sitting and judging—mildly curious to see what comes out of some website someone put up, inviting random writer’s to speak. Yes: speak.
I write with my mouth. I say what I want. I hit the “publish” button. It goes out. The button is stupidly called “Continue.” They will never say anything directly.
You need wade through a sea of rubbish, gimmicks all intended just to make money. If you do not wade through this sea of adventitious and vanity then you did not prove that you too can earn big bucks. This is Substack, playing their designated (by elites) role in the great game of lunacy. I want to throw up.
People that write for Substack are lunatics. They love money. Everyone is on board.
The lunatics are killing the planet, destroying the atmosphere, greatly heating it up, exploding weapons in various countries—first it was Asia, then Africa and now it is eastern Europe. Here, the Russians recently tried to consolidate their ancestral homeland by rather clumsily insulting the Ukrainians. They tried to connect their forces to Kiev, reportedly to capture the airport. But they could not do it, and so they settled for a division-of-the-cultures line, which they drew where they could with the result that it includes the already somewhat Russian areas of Donetsk and Luhansk. I am sorry for anybody who has to live under these Russians. I am just as sorry for anybody who has to live anywhere else, for that matter.
When will ye bombs be falling on the United States? Just as soon as our so-called “leaders” make their next dumb, and very bad, move.
And meanwhile, the WHO wants to wipe out the whole planet, those sheer crazy nutballs!
“Traditional Medicine”? Why? Who gives them the right to pick a statue from some other cultural system that they know nothing about? It is not even the appropriate statue. It looks very much like thousand-armed Chenrezik. I think so, for whatever that is worth. <LINK>

I am surprised this one came out coherently, and my two fans liked it!
I definitely agree with both of you, Andrew and Jacob. My Substack column, Just For The Hell Of It, although now two weeks overdue for a write, is and will continue to be free. Not because I don’t want any cash for my work but simply because the Internet of all things is nothing more than an endless line of outstretched hands willing to pilfer from my pockets if I do choose. I have long ago learned to laugh at words like “free”, “only”, “sale” and “limited quantities”.
Free doesn’t mean free. Now advertisers bake in a fee (the missing r is me growling) and then tell you your next year will them is gratis.
Only is just a way to minimize the monetary damage I incur if I want to buy something (“only $9.99” is the most asinine come-on I’ve seen in years). That concept of a single dollar price versus a double digit one works only if you’re an impulse buyer.
Sale used to mean that regular priced goods had been marked down to move for whatever reason. Now the retail price is artificially jacked up so that when you buy an item or service you think you’re getting a deal when in actuality you’re paying what the actual suggested retail was all along.
Limited quantities. I’ve got news for the sucker born every minute. Everything is of limited quantity even if there’s 3 million of them in stock.
Marketing is a scam, a ruse. And that’s why I don’t charge readers. Something should still be free.
