It’s not exactly poetry, but I have not used my “Jack the Poet” section/subunit much, so let me call it poetry. I don’t like the word (poetry) anyway. I might develop some new parts of a writing style.

So let’s call it a poetic equation. There seems to be a little gap right now, between the opposed brackets but it comes out like square zeros on my original document (it is using M.Soft “notepad” actually, which is what I write on). Maybe after I see the published Substack version it will look like square zeros—I don’t know; that is what I intended it to look like. We’ll see about that.

Now it also looks like a math equation. I don’t do math which makes the equation even more profound.

We know that adding or subtracting zeros from other zeros is pointless. The science question here is whether (or not) square zeros are the same sort of thing. We don’t know. It is more of a poetry question, which leads back to questions about whether this is really math. Well let us look at what I already said because that is authoritative and that is the original source material and I always use original source material.

Let me call it poetry. Whew! That feels better. So it is definitely poetic, because I also called it “poetic,” as in “poetic equation.”

So, we don’t know whether square zeros act the same way as regular zeros, because it’s poetic.

The minus signs are pointless but after the plus sign (you people do know what a minus sign and a plus sign is, one would hope!) there is a modification, a different sort of square zero.

While this is a square zero, as are the others, this square zero has single quote marks around it. So let’s look at the thing again.

We must here introduce the possibility that that zero or square zero is different, a zero “v. 2” so to speak.

Now, if you are the modified zero this whole equation could go crazy. It could fly off into outer space and start orbiting around a planet like sci fi.

It’s really crazy. The little quote marks produced gain of function! Now we’ve got a crazy mutant black fly that creates West Nile disease. Ah. But that is a post for another day . . .

The moral: don’t let one little zero drive you crazy.
